Frankenjura

In September and October 2018, I went twice to one of my favorite climbing areas in Northern Europe, the Frankenjura. Fresh air, sleepy villages, short powerfull climbs, schnitzel, Schäufele & Weizen-beers -> this is the Franken. Weather and conditions this fall were perfect for longer periods, so no excuses! I was really pleased to climb a bunch of nice routes, including the classics Chasin’ the Trane (7c, opened in ’81 by John Bachar) and Hitchike the Plane (7c+. ’84 by Wolfgang Gullich).
